Auckland: the final test
This was the final test that was to be played. The All Blacks had previously won the fist test in Christshurch and lost the next in Wellington, meaning this was the decider. During the game a Cessna 172 piloted by Marx Jones and Grant Cole was flying low over the stadium and started dropping flour bombs and flares. Regardless the game continued. This was the test where all hell broke loose. The protesters were joined by people simply wanting an excuse to fight the police, making a total of 10,000 protesters occupying the streets. Violence broke out around the stadium and police were attacked with rocks and missiles, forcing a brief withdraw. The New Zealand player Gary Knight was struck by a flour bomb and was knocked over, though the game continued.
